Rams In Action
Mission
The mission of RAMS in Action is to provide Albany State University and its community partners appropriate resources that will allow students to: (1) learn through civic engagement activities, (2) develop new skills and leadership capacities, and (3) to successfully progress to employment in their chosen discipline.
Vision
RAMS in Action will develop students as lifelong servant leaders who are committed to empowering their communities.
Purpose
RAMS in Action is a campus-wide initiative that cultivates a sense of civic responsibility among students at Albany State University. The initiative fosters the growth and development of students who volunteer to address communities' needs through collaborations across Georgia and beyond.
What We Do
Take Action through Civic Engagement
Help those in need on-campus, in the greater community, and beyond
- Service Saturdays: monthly civic engagement projects that serve the local community and community organizations. Students can sign-up to volunteer for a Service Saturday that fits their area of interest.
- Annual Days of Service: Annual participation in nationally recognized days of service that highlight various causes:
- 9/11 Day of Service (September)
- National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (November)
- MLK Day of Service (January)
- Earth Day (April)
