State Authorization Availability

In addition to offering all state of Georgia core requirements fully online, Albany State University also offers a variety of degrees, programs, and certificates through fully online and hybrid platforms. Certain programs and certificates require practicums, proctored exams, internships, and other activities which trigger State Authorization requirements.

ASU has been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education. Institutions that are members of SARA are authorized to provide online education to students from all SARA member states (listed below).
