ASU 1101 (Pathways to Success) is a first-year course designed to cover specific topics
to address scholastic success, the value of education relative to self-potential,
campus life, community citizenship, leadership skills development and responsibility.
Components of the course focus on mastery study skills, conflict resolution skills,
enhancing communication skills, critical thinking skills, time management, problem
solving, ethics, health, global issues and financial literacy.
The purpose, and main outcome, of this course is to create an engaged Golden Ram who exhibits exceptional leadership
qualities, academic excellence, outstanding personal, professional dispositions, and
career-related dispositions to sustain throughout their collegiate experience and
beyond.
