Counseling Services
Counseling services provides a range of short-term mental health services for currently enrolled Albany State University students including same-day consultations, individual and group counseling, wellness programming, and access to emergency mental health resources. Counseling is a process by which students received assistance from trained, experienced professionals who are knowledgeable about the types of issues they may face. Through talking with a caring individual, students may learn new strategies and skills for coping with their issues. If a student requires more intensive services to meet their needs (i.e., persons who are violent, suicidal, addicted to drugs/alcohol, or require medical intervention), we will assist with connecting the student to community-based providers. All services are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL. To schedule an appointment please contact the office at (229) 500-2013 or email counselingservices@asurams.edu.
