Fraternity and Sorority Life provides students with an opportunity to join national organizations with established histories of service, high scholastic achievement, and institutional prestige. They provide a plethora of opportunities for students including educational and social activities, events and programs that focus on volunteering, campus involvement, leadership, personal growth and others. Members of the Greek Life community maintain a commitment to a standard of excellence in all Greek Life endeavors.

Scholarship

The promotion of intellectual growth and academic excellence through the recruitment and selection of quality students, scholastic programming, educational support, and recognition opportunities.
The majority of the Albany State Greek community maintains a higher Grade Point Average than the overall campus population.

Leadership

The development of styles and models of leadership through self-governing councils, cross-collaboration opportunities, workshops, and ethical decision-making.
Many members of Albany State Greek letter organizations hold leadership positions in other student organizations including Student Government Association, and The Royal Court.

Service and Philanthropy

Encouraging members to become civically involved and actively engaged in the betterment of the campus community, local community, and all mankind.
All Albany State Greek organizations volunteer in both local and national programs including voter registration drives, Blood Drives, Albany YDC, and Keep Albany Dougherty Beautiful.

Joining a Greek-letter organization is a commitment that connects you to a network of brothers and sisters bonded by common goals and the founding principles of that organization.

Members of Greek-letter organizations develop a bond that lasts beyond their college years. Nurtured by alumni activities and graduate chapters, members are provided networking opportunities and a lifetime of camaraderie.
