Albany State University President Selects Cordele Center Director, Dr. Kameron Causey
Albany State University (ASU) is proud to welcome Dr. Kameron Causey as the Director of the ASU Cordele Center. She has nearly twenty years of experience as a healthcare professional. Her extensive experience is focused in program management based on her position as a program director and associate professor.
“Dr. Kameron Casey’s experience, leadership skills and ability to collaborate across multiple entities will make her an asset for this role,” said ASU President, Dr. Marion Ross Fedrick. “With ASU’s strategic plan as the guide, Dr. Causey will continue to advance the Center’s mission, while ensuring its focus on increased enrollment, expanded academic programming, and strengthening external relationships.”
Dr. Causey earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Georgia Southwestern State University. She went on to earn a doctoral degree in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Allied Health Sciences. More recently, she earned an additional doctoral degree in adult and career education from Valdosta State University.
She is a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Georgia holding memberships within the Georgia Consortium of Clinical Educators, American Physical Therapy Association, and Physical Therapist Association of Georgia. She also serves on the board of the Crisp County Community Council.
As Director of the Albany State University Cordele Center, Dr. Causey will focus on increased enrollment through strategic recruitment efforts, expanding academic programming targeting local and regional workforce needs, and strengthening relationships with community and organizational partners.
